Chile continues to receive international recognition. They highlight how this destination has gained an ever growing positive reputation in recent years. Last month, for example, Chile’s gastronomy was highlighted in through Boragó. The latter is a restaurant in Santiago (Chile’s capital city) thats has been named amongst the 50 best restaurants in the world. The hotel industry, on the hand, has also distinguished itself by marking a presence in the prestigious travel magazine Travel + Leisure. Several of Chile’s hotels have been included in the latest edition of Travel + Leisure’s “World’s Best Awards 2018”.
The Chilean presence in the ranking of the 100 Best Hotels in the World is led by Turismo Chile member Tierra Patagonia. The Hotel is in the Torres del Paine National Park and ranks in a very honorable 7th place on the list. As if that was not enough Tierra Patagonia was chosen as the best hotel in South America. The other hotel on the list is The Singular Hotel. The Singular Hotel is not situated in the the Torres del Paine National Park but rather in Puerto Natales. It ranked 66/100.
Every year, for the World’s Best Awards Survey, Travel + Leisure asks it’s readers to evaluate their travel experience around the world. They identify new opinions about the cities, islands, cruises, hotels and airlines. This year, eight of the 100 best hotels in the world are located in South America. This means the region, along with Chile, are undoubtedly receiving a boost in regional inbound tourism.
