El Colorado Ski Resort, with over 7,500 hectares of skiable territory, is Chile’s largest ski resort. Located only 36 kilometers away from Santiago, once again it makes over 100 tracks and lifts available for beginners, intermediate skiers and experts, captivating skiers and bringing life to the mountain.
However, for mountain lovers, not everything is about ski, and some appreciate our mountains from a different perspective. The panoramic chair ride is one of the resort’s
more attractive activities. It starts in the Cururo lift, on the track’s base, and it ends in the Mirador restaurant, located half way on the mountain. From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view from our mountains to the capital city, Santiago, enjoying scenery that only El Colorado Ski Resort can offer. It is a unique experience that lasts approximately 25 minutes and operates from 9:00 am until 5 pm.
“The ski experience is not determining to be a part of the mountain. Those who have never skied, have access to incredible activities and events where they can enjoy, relax and share with family or friends”, says José Pablo García, Commercial Director of El Colorado Ski Resort.
Sport events are once more the focus on El Colorado’s the vast skiable territory. “King of the Park”, in its XV edition, is the southern hemisphere’s most important freestyle international championship, including Rails, Slope Style and Big Air sessions. This competition will be complemented in turn with other activities such as Monster Rail Squad, FIS Races, Adidas Das Table freestyle event, and the TNF free-ride week.

When skis and boards go to rest, evenings become a fun plan in El Colorado. Live concerts, DJs, and tributes make people rock until past midnight. The Creedence, Soda Stereo, The Beatles, Bruno Mars, Elvis Presley and The Rolling Stones tributes, fill the air with rhythm in El Refugio restaurant with their amazing songs. On the other hand, Jazz, Soul & Folk bands and DJs are ideal for quiet dinners and evening chats.
Regarding food, El Colorado also has a first-level gastronomic offer for its visitors, going from fast food to sophisticated international dishes. For demanding palates, El Refugio restaurant is the best option, a combination of cozy environment and amore exclusive menu focused on premium meat and Chilean food, offering an unforgettable experience for guests in the Parador building’s fourth floor. Prices range between CLP $9,500 and CLP $15.500, and you can enjoy a delicious Prime Rib Eye Steak, Thin Skirt or Flat Iron. Late in the evening, there is a new menu focused on drinks or Spanish tapas and pintxos, with prices from CLP $4.500, where sangría stands as one of the favorites.
The Italian restaurant Dal Monte offers a fast quality service in the first floor, where you can choose the best pastas and stone pizzas to share with your family. On the other hand, Kilometro Lanzado is the ideal option for those who only want to take a break after snow action, located on the Parador terrace, where you can find an express snacks service to enjoy in a minute.
Those who do not want to leave the ski tracks can choose between El Mirador and El Olimpo, our two restaurants by the tracks, where you will have the privilege of being 3,202 masl, with a spectacular panoramic view to the ski resort and the Santiago Valley, enjoying an incredible excellence and quality service. El Olimpo stands out with its shrimp curry and its bouef bourguignon, a classic French stew served in iron pots. Both dishes are meant to be shared to live a pleasant moment surrounded by snow. On the other hand, El Mirador specialties include XL sandwiches, pisco sour and brochettes, which are already a mountain tradition.
“For us, it is essential to make visitors experience as complete as possible, and we believe that it is a priority to offer good food, rides on The Andes and the amazing views that the mountain has to offer. Breathing fresh air and enjoying live music allow to upraise the global experience”, says Peter Leatherbee, General Manager.
This season, El Colorado will continue implementing one of the ticket systems that has set the difference among ski resorts: the Skipass, a tickets use and sales system, with rechargeable cards, where more porticos were made available and the online recharge system was enhanced, thus favoring the anticipated purchase of tickets, rental, classes, transportation and lunches. The ski resort is also constantly publishing attractive offers in its website www.elcolorado.cl, for those who wish to enjoy all the activities that we offer during the whole season.
