El Colorado: Chile’s Snow and Ski Capital

El Colorado Ski Resort, with over 1,200 hectares of skiable territory, stands today as Chile’s and South America’s snow capital. For this 2019, Chile’s largest resort offers its visitors an unforgettable season with the best experience for ski lovers.

With ideal
tracks for every level, El Colorado has a diverse offer for those who want to
learn how to ski, as well as those who aim to improve their skiing skills. For
the more experienced ones, the Resort has black and red tracks inserted in the
beautiful landscape of Valle Olímpico, located in the southeast hillside at over
3,000 meters asl.

“Last year we
celebrated 70 years of history, and for this 2019 we have important news that
will set a relevant milestone for El Colorado. With more and improved tracks,
more events, and an enhanced food offer, we are providing a thorough experience
that boosts not only the sport but also our client’s moments of happiness
outside of it”, said the Resort’s commercial director, José Pablo García.

This year’s news
includes a new downhill track in Valle Olímpico, “El Halcón DH”, which although
aimed at training teams, can also be used by clients. It is over 2,500 meters
long, with three walls that the most experienced skiers will enjoy.

On the other
hand, the Ski; Snowboard School, present in El Colorado for over 56 years,
will offer new services, including a basic ski introduction program for only Ch$10,000,
and new premium classes including freestyle, side country skiing and training
sessions.

This year we
will continue with the RACO school branch, program especially designed for all children
to learn how to ski and to improve skiing skills in all its specialties as they
enhance social skills, and the Ski & Snowboard Club for those who like more
intensity in a group that enjoys mountain life and sport with over 30 days of skiing.

In terms of food,
El Colorado will have a top offer for its visitors, with over 6 restaurants and
a varied offer of all clients, launching new menus in all restaurants and the “Olimpo”
restaurant’s new terrace located 3,100 meters high. Like every year,
restaurants promise many surprises with a new après-ski at KL terrace, including
live music, parties and family activities.

Another
new item for this year will be a renewed snow park, which will have a progression
segment at the park’s top with a new Fun Race track for all those who enjoy
intermediate-obstacle tracks.
